This was a cute little cafe with such reasonably priced food! I ordered a salad with prosciutto, pear and brie cheese and it was fantastic. The flavours in this dish went together so nicely, the pear and blueberries were perfectly ripe and the flat bread was delicious and crunchy. My coffee was great, as well.

My friend and I were cold and craving soup, and this place more than hit the spot. The mushroom soup was wonderful, free refills were much appreciated, and we both really enjoyed the cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended for Ring Road travelers – and everyone else.

We had a fantastic experience here in this café. Not only was the coffee, food and cake exceptional. They are also very culturally sensitive and open for every kind of guests. This inclusiveness really means a lot. Thank you so much for your kindness and sensitivity!

Great local coffee in town, perfect for a quick bite and a coffee. They have a small selection of pastries, like cakes, muffins and the typical cinnamon bun. Few board games and books at your disposal if you have more time!

TIRAMISU! After travelling through Paris, Brussels, New York City, San Francisco, LA, Rome, Pisa and Florence, sampling along the way, I arrive in Husavik and find the best tiramisu in the world. Also, this may seem like a small thing, but when we arrived the young lady got up from what she was doing, smiled and asked what we would like, implyig that customers were her priority. It was just the opening glimpse of a very courteous and warm feeling about the whole experience. The only bad part was that everything was so delicious that we ate too much. The counterbalance was that after eating at Herna, everything else for the next few weeks was boring by comparison so we tended to order less because it was clearly not as fantastic as this little coffee shop / eatery in Husavik. Finally, after being charmed by the food and friendliness, we bought a little water color painting hanging on the wall. While paying for it, we learned from the owner/manager of the coffee shop that he is the artist and he gets up early in the morning before dawn to go out on a commerical fishing boat, then opens his coffee shop and goes home to paint each night. Upon returning home, I decided any country with this level of industriousness, we saw repeatedly thorughout Iceland, is worth investing in and bought some "Glaciershares Nasdaq Iceland ETF" (GLCR). Informed risk.

Simple tasty menu. Homemade cakes and pastries tasted good. More space for seating than some of the other nearby spots but still limited. Saw locals eating there which always a good sign.

Nice staff, good service, solid coffee and treats. We thought the prices were a little steep, but that's the only negative.
